The Savannah Technical College Faculty Senate is the representative body of faculty, full-time and adjunct. As such, it serves as the official faculty advisory body to the President. Faculty Senate recommendations are submitted for approval to the President and, once approved, become part of the academic policy of the college to be implemented by the administration within the framework of the Technical College System of Georgia.
The Faculty Senate:

Makes recommendations to the president for the governance, procedures, and welfare of the faculty

Oversees committees as required

Prescribes regulations regarding admissions, transfer of credit, dismissal, discipline, scholarship, registration, classes, programs of study, and requirements for graduation

Submits additional recommendations as necessary for proper maintenance of high educational and professional standards

Elects members from the instructional faculty
