  1. What is the Student Enrichment Center (SEC)?
The Student Enrichment Center (SEC) is designed to provide academic support through tutorial services, academic advisement, and counseling to under-prepared students at Savannah Technical College.   
 
In addition, the SEC’s computer lab is available for student use and is equipped with an extensive collection of instructional media.   Our staff can help students effectively use these resources to help manage a variety of subject areas.
 
  1. Where is the SEC?
The Student Enrichment Center is located in the Academic Commons Building, Room 228, Savannah Campus.
 
  1. Is the SEC available to all students?

Yes, the services are available to all currently enrolled students at Savannah Technical College.

 

  1. Do I need to make an appointment to receive services?

To help us serve you better, please come in and make an appointment for tutoring services.   However, walk-ins are welcomed if there are tutors available.

 

No appointment is necessary for use of the SEC computer lab.

 

  1. How much does tutoring cost?

Tutoring services are absolutely FREE for all currently enrolled Savannah Technical College students.

 

  1. How long is each tutoring session?

Each tutoring session is 55 minutes long.

 

  1. How many times per week will I have to come for tutoring?

Tutoring sessions are at least once per week.   You may be able to have a tutoring session twice per week, if tutors are available.

 

  1. When is the SEC open?

  Hours of Operation

Monday – Thursday:   8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday:   8 a.m. to 12 noon
