The Economic Development Division is responsible for working with businesses and communities within Effingham, Chatham, Bryan, and Liberty counties.   Workforce Development is our top priority when developing and delivering our credit and non-credit programs.   We welcome the opportunity to provide programs and classes to employees and potential employees of every business and industry.   Our qualified staff and instructors are enthusiastic about increasing the overall value and strength of our vital and increasingly important local workforce.
 

Economic Development is responsible for several functional entities of Savannah Technical College.   The links to the left will provide specific information about:

 

  • Manufacturing and Logistics – Certified Manufacturing Specialist (CMS) and Certified Warehousing & Distribution Specialist (CWDS).
  • Customer Support – Certified Customer Support Specialist (CCSS), Direct Support Professional (DSP), and Supervisory Management.           
  • Professional Continuing Education – A variety of non-credit classes are scheduled for individual life-long learning.  
  • Assessment Center – Our Assessment Center provides a wide variety of services. 
  • Contract Training – Customized training for specific company and/or purpose.
  • Adult Education – Adult Basic Education and Adult Secondary Education classes are offered as well as the General Educational Development (GED) exams.
  • CCR&R – Child Care Resource & Referral agency is committed to the promotion of high quality early child care and learning in Southeast Georgia through education and collaborative efforts with families, early childhood professionals, and members of the community.
