Privately funded scholarships can be very helpful in funding students’ education and provide opportunities beyond traditional financial aid. The Foundation awards a wide range of scholarships to students in all the academic divisions and do not need to be repaid. Eligibility may or may not depend on financial need.

Efacec Electrical/Mechanical Manufacturing Scholarship
Awarded to students enrolled in the Electrical/Mechanical Manufacturing program and entering at least his/her second quarter of study. A 3.0 minimum GPA is required. This scholarships is awarded in the form of a book voucher. Funded by Efacec.
GED Scholarship
GED Scholarships are available to cover the cost of GED testing fees. Please contact your GED instructor for more information.
Grainger Industrial Technology Scholarship
Awarded to students in an Industrial Technology program. A 2.5 minimum GPA is required. Funded by Grainger.
Hector Boiardi Scholarship
This scholarship was established In memory of Hector Boiardi, internationally known chef and developer of food products. Awarded to students with a strong passion for the culinary field and with a demonstrated need of financial assistance. Applicants will be judged on criteria including attitude, motivation, communication, goals, initiative, drive, adaptability, work history, time management skills and appearance.
Awarded to female students majoring in business that
demonstrates a financial need.
No GPA

John Antonio Weldon
Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to an African American male that is passionate about changing the direction of his life from past experiences. Must be a first generation student and a resident of public housing. A satisfactory GPA is required.
Margaret F. Perryman Scholarship
Established in memory of Margaret F. Perryman, this scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the Practical Nursing program based on merit and need.
Opportunity Award Honoree Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of those that have received the Foundation’s Opportunity Award for their life-long commitment to the community and education. Awarded to students with a demonstrated financial need. Satisfactory GPA required.
Phyllis R. Schmidt
Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students currently enrolled in a Surgical Technology program, this scholarship was established in memory of Phyllis Schmidt by her husband, John Schmidt.
R. J. Griffin Scholarship
Awarded to a student in Construction Management or related program. Based on Merit and financial need. Funded by R.J. Griffin.
Satya-Durga Yalamanchili Nursing Fund
This scholarship was established in honor of Satya-Durga Yalamanchili and funded by STC's faculty. The scholarship is awarded strictly based on GPA. Contact your instructor for information.
Savannah Bank / Billy Reese Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of Billy Reese, this scholarship is awarded to an accounting student based on merit. Contact your instructor for more information. Funded by Savannah Bank.
Siemens Scholarship
Awarded to students currently enrolled in the HVAC program. Funded by Siemens.
STC Faculty and Staff Scholarship
This scholarship was established and is funded by the faculty and staff of Savannah Technical College. Awarded to students who have completed at least 30 hours of study and who have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher are eligible for this scholarship.
Please note:
Scholarship funds may be
used for tuition, fees, books and pre-approved academic-related supplies
purchased at the Savannah Technical College Campus only.
Scholarship funds will not be distributed
directly to the student.
Funds disbursed from each
scholarships account are to be used solely for the benefit of the scholarship
recipient.
The criteria or amounts listed
here may change at any time by the donor or foundation office.
Students must maintain
any GPA or program requirements for the duration of the Academic year and must
remain enrolled while utilizing funds.
