HOPE PROGRAM INFORMATION – applies to ALL TCSG STUDENTS.
This chart contains the most current information on the HOPE programs. Please note that this information is subject to change based on regulations from Georgia Student Finance Commission.
Criteria Fall Semester 2011 and Beyond
Tuition $60.75 per credit hour up to 15 credit hours

HOPE GRANT
Baccalaureate Degree Not eligible for an award.  
GPA Requirement Minimum 3.0 GPA at the 30 and 60 semester hour checkpoints. If less than 3.0 GPA at the 30 semester hour checkpoint, the student may regain if GPA is at least 3.0 at 90 semester hour checkpoint.  
Learning Support Eligible for an award. HOPE Grant paid-hours for learning support coursework do not count in the HOPE Grant GPA and checkpoint calculations.  
Dual Enrollment Eligible for an award. HOPE Grant paid-hours for dual enrollment coursework do not count in the HOPE Grant GPA and checkpoint calculations.  
Paid-Hours Limit (Cap) Tuition payment for hours up to the 63 semester / 95 quarter hours limit, regardless of program length. Students will be responsible for all tuition payments for hours attempted beyond this limit.  
Residency Students who were not Georgia residents upon graduation from high school or a home study program must meet GA residency requirements for 24 months prior to the term HOPE Grant is sought.  
HOPE SCHOLARSHIP
GPA Requirement No change in GPA requirement or checkpoints. Students may regain eligibility one-time at a tier checkpoint (30/60/90) if eligibility is lost.  
Learning Support Not eligible for an award.  
Dual Enrollment All dual enrollment hours do not count towards attempted-hours in determining HOPE Scholarship eligibility.  
Seven Year Eligibility Students become ineligible for HOPE Scholarship seven years after the date they graduated high school or equivalent. Students who received a HOPE Scholarship payment during the 2010-2011 award year will remain eligible through June 30, 2015, regardless of graduation date. Active duty military service time does not count against the seven-year period.  
ZELL MILLER SCHOLARSHIP
Eligibility Requirement Determined by Georgia Student Finance Commission. For more information, visit www.gsfc.org  
GPA Requirement Minimum 3.3 GPA requirement at all checkpoints (30/60/90 semester hour, End of Spring, & Three-Term). If a student drops below the 3.3 GPA minimum requirement, but maintains at least a 3.0 GPA or higher, the student can be awarded the HOPE Scholarship. Students may regain eligibility one-time if eligibility is lost.  
HOPE GED GRANT

Voucher will be issued to the student upon enrollment at any eligible postsecondary institution. The GED voucher is valid for 24-months from date of issuance.
