The Student Right-to-Know Act was enacted in 1990 by federal law. The law requires institutions that receive Title IV HEA student financial aid to collect, report and/or disclose
Graduation and Placement Rates
and campus security reports to current and prospective students. It is a federal mandate designed to help enrolled and prospective students make informed decisions.
The Clery Act
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, as a part of the Higher Education Act of 1965, is a federal law that requires colleges and universities to disclose certain timely and annual information about campus crime and security policies. All public and private institutions of postsecondary education participating in federal student aid programs are subject to it.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. This applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. Student Privacy Rights and Procedures will provide additional information concerning your privacy rights.
